lactation-tips asked: I've been doing P90x for 25 days and I have noticed an increase in muscle but I have only lost 11 lbs. My goal weight is 85 lbs away and I was hoping I'd weigh at least 15 lbs lighter by now. How much weight did you loose with p90X in 90 days and Can you do at least 1 free hanging pull up?

I know a lot of people say this, but seriously STOP looking at the scale! First of all, it’s just a number & something more to stress about. Measure yourself, inches is what counts & what shows more importantly. I did end up losing over 20 pounds all together with the program, but I gained so much muscle as well, & muscle weighs more than fat! & yes, with a lot of effort I can do at least 1 pull up haha. I can’t wait to do the program for the second time & see even MORE changes!!

Sauteed Green Beans and Tomatoes
Ingredients
1 large sweet onion
2 tablespoons unsalted butter or non-hydrogenated margarine
2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1-1/2 pounds green beans, ends trimmed
salt and pepper, to taste
handful chopped parsley
Directions
Parboil the beans for about 8-10 minutes (depending on how crunchy you like them, but they should still be a bit firm), drain and rinse in cold water to stop the cooking
Heat some oil in a large sauté pan over medium-low heat and cook the onions gently until they’re soft but not browned, about 15-20 minutes.  In the meantime, cook the tomatoes with the butter a pinch of salt, and the basil and thyme for about 15 minutes.  Add the tomatoes and their juices to the onions and continue cooking for another 10 minutes until the juices have partly evaporated and thickened.
Add the beans to the onions, season with salt and increase the heat to medium.  Toss regularly for about 10-5 minutes, until everything is warmed through and the juices are thick.  Adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.  Serve with a sprinkling of the rest of the parsley over the top.
Nutritional Information (serves 6): 88 calories, 4g fat, 10mg cholesterol, 16mg sodium, 12.5g total carbs, 4.8g fiber, 4g sugars, 3g protein

A Moment of Sunshine

As I was driving to work today after hanging out with Matt on a run, I didn’t even realize the radio was off as the sun beat down & the wind rushed by. It was 5 minutes of pure calm as the birds sang around me. A glimpse of paradise

So very proud of him, I wanted to repost this because I didn’t get to edit the post in order to say that second part, he’s been so good with it & I honestly didn’t think he was ever going to finish, but he’s getting there for sure!!

That apparently I went anorexic & didn’t actually do the workout? Uhm. Pardon me, I worked my fucking ASS off for my body, don’t you dare think about minimizing my progress. I know the truth, so sit down & shut up before I find out who started this & I put a serious damper on your life.
